Location.
The Hotel New Helvetia is located in Platres, on the island of Cyprus, one kilometre from the town centre. Limassol is 25 kilometres away and Paphos is at a 60 kilometre distance.

Hotel Features.
Surrounded by lush pine trees, the family-run Hotel New Helvetia occupies an historic rustic property clad with greenery, and opens to public areas finished with floral fabrics and richly patterned carpets. The hotel houses a fitness room and offers bicycles for hire, and there is a terrace area. The multilingual concierge is on hand to offer sightseeing assistance, and further amenities include room service and wireless Internet.

The hotel houses a relaxed restaurant, and the Pine Tree Bar with a 250 year-old tree growing through its middle. There is also a terrace snack bar. A complimentary buffet breakfast is provided each morning, and a half-board rate is available.

Driving Directions

From Larnaca International Airport (LCA):
Distance to the Hotel New Helvetia is 120 kilometres, approximately 130 minutes' drive.


Getting there.
Taxis from the airport cost around 80 CYP to hotel. Buses 22, 19, and 24 run to Larnaca city centre and intercity buses run between major resorts and the airport. No buses run on Sundays. Price subject to change.


Getting around.
A car is advisable for exploring the surrounding area.


Driving directions.
From the airport, head to the roundabout and come off in the direction of Lemesos.
Stay on the motorway until reaching Lemesos.
Continue on the motorway, exit for Troodos, and follow signs for Troodos/Platres.
There are two entrances to Platres.
Turn left at the second entrance with the Psilo Dentro restaurant and a Trout Farm on the right hand side.
After approximately 150 metres, come to an uphill road on the right.
Turn right and the hotel will appear after approximately 50 metres.
