Location.
The Mercure Hotel Airport Muenchen is located between the airport and the trade fair grounds outside Munich, Germany. The airport is eight kilometres away and it's 25 kilometres to the sights of central Munich.

The Aufkirchener Stuberl restaurant serves international favourites in a traditional setting. The Diver's World Restaurant combines Mediterranean and Bavarian cuisine in a room with a maritime theme inspired by the next- door diving centre. There's more marine-themed decor in the ultra-modern Underwater Bar, where speciality sausages and drinks are on offer.

The hotel offer complimentary access to the next-door Diver's diving centre. Eight interconnecting pools hold two million litres of water and go as deep as five metres. Distance to Mercure Hotel Airport Muenchen is eight kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.


Getting there.
The hotel is in Aufkirchen, between Munich and the fair grounds. The airport's train station is located between the two terminals on the basement level. The S8 and S1 S-Bahn trains leave every 20 minutes for Munich's main train station (Hauptbahnhof). Journey time is about 45 minutes, and single tickets cost 8.80 EUR. Tickets must be validated prior to travelling. The Lufthansa Airport bus runs to the Hauptbahnhof every 20 minutes, and the single fare is 9.50 EUR. Taxis to the city centre cost around 55 EUR-65 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.


Getting around.
The hotel is located on Dorfstrasse in Aufkirchen. Aufkirchen can be explored on foot or by bus. A hire car would be useful to explore the wider area. In nearby Munich, the extensive U-bahn underground system is the most efficient way to get around. You can also use the same tickets on the S-bahn commuter trains, buses and streetcars. Taxis are quick, but expensive. Parking at the hotel is complimentary.

Follow signs towards Erding.
Take the Erding exit and then the Aufkirchen exit.
