Driving Directions
As public transport is difficult to come by in this rural region, the best way to get from the airport and to get around Cavan is by hired car. Driving directions: From the airport take the M50 exit southbound and follow the N3 motorway through Dunshaughlin, Navan, Kells and Virginia. On approach to Cavan town, continue straight on at the roundabout towards the N55 for Athlone, town centre. Continue past the Cavan Crystal Hotel and Breffini football ground. As the road winds into the town, drive straight through the small set of traffic lights. At the roundabout take the left-hand R198 exit for Killeshandra/Crossdoney. At the fork in the road veer left and pass the Cavan Golf Club on the right. The hotel entrance is about one kilometre from here.
