The Villa San Carlo Borromeo is located just outside Milan, Italy, one kilometre from the Alfa Romeo Museum, 12 kilometres from Milan city centre and 20 kilometres from Lake Como.

Hotel Features.
Originally a 14th-century palace, this beautifully restored grand hotel is situated in 11,000 acres of ancient parkland and features an immense lobby with an impressive chandelier, picture windows, original mouldings and a polished terracotta-and-cream tiled floor. There is an onsite museum which showcases major exhibitions. Internet access is available, and complimentary newspapers are offered in the lobby. The inviting Villa San Carlo's City Restaurant features classic decor with period furniture and oil paintings. Driving Directions

From Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP):
Distance to Hotel Villa San Carlo is 30 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes' drive.


Getting there.
The Malpensa Express train runs every 30 minutes between Milan airport's train station and the city centre (Cadorna station). Single tickets are approximately 9 EUR, and journey time is 40 minutes. From here, trains connect to Garbagnate train station, which is three kilometres from the hotel. Price is subject to change.


Getting around. The grounds around the hotel can be explored on foot. Trains run from Garbagnate train station to Milan and other destinations. A car is recommended for exploring less touristy areas, but not for driving into Milan, where traffic is heavy and it is difficult to park.
