Hotel do Elevador, named after a still- working 18th-century water-operated elevator, is a villa- style property set on a panoramic wooded hillside next to the iconic Bom Jesus Sanctuary. It is three kilometres from Braga and 14 kilometres from Guimarães. Porto Airport (OPO) is 50 kilometres away, an approximate driving time of 45 minutes.

Driving Directions

Getting there.
Line E (violet) on the Porto Metro system connects the airport with the city centre; a single ticket costs 1.35 EUR. The airport station is located in front of the arrivals zone. Buses also run every 20-30 minutes to city centre. A taxi to the city centre is approximately 15-20 EUR. Braga can be easily reached from Porto by train or bus. From there it is a short taxi ride to Bom Jesus. The area around the hotel is easily and best explored on foot, with a scooter or car recommended for longer journeys. All prices subject to change.


Driving directions.From the airport take IC 24 for Maia/A3. Take the A3 for Braga, exit at Braga Celeiros, and follow the signs for Bom Jesus.
