Originally constructed as a cotton warehouse around 1840, the historic Anchorage Inn Charleston stands in the French Quarter of Charleston, S.C. One block from the Charleston Harbor, the Anchorage Inn Charleston was named such to pay homage to the inn's heritage as a "safe harbor." The Charleston City Market stands two blocks away. Rainbow Row, a collection of restored 18th century row houses, is three blocks from the inn.
